How do I get a library card?
To get a library card, you need to:
- Complete the library registration form (available at the circulation desk)
- Present a valid student ID or staff ID
- Pay any applicable registration fees
- Attend a brief library orientation session
Your library card will be issued immediately after registration.
What are the library opening hours?
Regular library hours are:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed

Who can use the library?
The library is open to:
- All registered Kwekwe Polytechnic students

How many books can I borrow?
Borrowing limits vary by user type:
- Diploma students: 5 books for 2 weeks
- Degree students: 8 books for 2 weeks
- Postgraduate students: 10 books for 4 weeks
- Staff: 15 books for 4 weeks
- Reference materials: Library use only
How can I renew my books?
You can renew books in three ways:
- Online through the library portal
- In person at the circulation desk
- By phone during library hours
Books can be renewed up to 2 times if not reserved by other users.
What are the overdue fines?
Overdue fines are charged as follows:
- Regular books: $0.50 per day
- Reserved books: $1.00 per day
- Maximum fine per book: $10.00
- Fines must be paid before borrowing additional items

How do I access e-books and databases?
To access electronic resources:
- Connect to campus network (on-campus access)

Can I download e-books?
